I have included a link below so you can download the DesignSpark Mechanical software and get started learning 3D modeling right away. If you haven't done so, I would highly recommend watching the tutorials on Youtube. You can keep editing existing shapes: it won't break the tree-structure because there is no tree. The video tutorials that I’m making are done at a slow pace and are easy for someone watching to follow along to draw the same project or example I’m showing. Contrary to most other 3D-CAD systems, DesignSpark Mechanical (and it source SpaceClaim) are designed for 'push-pull modeling' of solids. I believe this software will make a great alternative to the higher end packages like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc. I have found it very user friendly and easy to use and that’s why I am hoping to spread the word about this software. Free 3D CAD Modelling Using DesignSpark Mechanical: Its generally a good idea in DIY(and not only DIY) projects to model your future device in 3d before start actually making something.
